Can Hip Hop Save Us?

Date TBA

Hip hop is the language of youth, collaboration and transformation. But in our society, hip hop and youth culture are often marginalized as entertainment. There is a huge divide between what young people are interested in and how we engage them. Meanwhile, artists are using tech and social media in innovative ways - from design and coding, to communication and collaboration. This panel will explore ways to connect artists to young people, embrace new modes of learning, and reimagine the artist's role in shaping the future.

Programming descriptions are generated by participants and do not necessarily reflect the opinions of SXSW.
