Feminism Today: A Brand or a Movement? Meet Up

Four members of the Page She collective will be discussing whether feminism can be un-packaged, un-bottled and rescued from its most recent model as a commodity. From working in the creative and media industries, we've seen behind the scenes as brands have been cashing in on the recent re-interest in feminism; more often than not without responsibility to the women they are selling to. There has been a resurgence of 'inclusive' online collectives; but just how far does their inclusivity stretch when corporate money comes knocking and branded content promises attention. This is an honest conversation about the state of feminism today and how far it has shifted from its organic subversive form.
