Music for Media: Myths & Misconceptions
"I have the perfect ____ for your project." A simple sentence loaded with meaning. Film & TV music professionals and their content creator clients are constantly bombarded with some version of this assertion. Whether it be an artist that is (supposedly) spot-on for your brand, a song that (purportedly) speaks exactly to the themes of your film or a composer that (in theory) has the right skill set for your project, music supervisors and their counterparts are always tasked with separating truth from hyperbole. Our panel will reveal and discuss a host of common missteps and misconceptions artists, their reps and music biz professionals may not know about the music-for-media creative process.
