Mar 13, 2017

12:30pm – 1:30pm CT

Technology & audience interaction are transforming live performance. Hear about La Medea, a simultaneous dance-theater performance, made-for-camera Latin variety TV show, and livestreamed feature film inspired by Euripides’ Greek tragedy. Beyond audience metrics like size & distribution, La Medea uses data visualization to engage audiences, gaining insight from their emotional reactions. The 45th annual Dance on Camera Festival in February 2017, co-presented by the Film Society of Lincoln Center & Dance Films Association, will feature La Medea to initiate festival programming that cultivates audience interaction and experiential storytelling.
