Breaking the Cycle of Illiteracy Happy Hour with Project Literacy
200 million Americans own a device that can understand and respond to real life human speech, and can read and write. Yet, one out of seven adults in the U.S. today - or 36 million people - are struggling to read and write their own name. Project Literacy is proud to unveil “Give your word,” our 2017 campaign. We believe that by working together, we can end worldwide adult illiteracy by 2030. Join us for our happy hour event to hear from some heroic adults who are currently learning to read and write, and find out how you can give your word to help.
Project Literacy is a global campaign founded and convened by Pearson to make significant and sustainable advances in the fight against illiteracy by 2030 so that all people - regardless of geography, language, race, class, or gender – have the opportunity to fulfill their potential through the power of words.
