Burn 1 Down

Blazing a trail out of Memphis, Tennessee, Joecephus and the George Jonestown Massacre are on a roll. In their 11 years of touring, the “cross between Merle Haggard and Motörhead" have served as the opening act for such diverse artists as Johnny Winter, David Allan Coe, Rev. Horton Heat, and HR of Bad Brains. Joey "Joecephus" Killingsworth and his band are bringing their full auditory assault to any venue that can take it. Their latest release, now available from Saustex Records, is called Mutants of The Monster: A Tribute to Black Oak Arkansas and features many guests from Jello Biafra and Shooter Jennings to members of Black Flag, Mercyful Fate, Butthole Surfers, Antiseen and more. All the band’s profits from this release are being donated to the Memphis animal rescue group, The Savior Foundation. Accompanying Joecephus on this tour is long-time drummer Dave Wade and studio guru/ multi instrumentalist Dik LeDoux on bass.
