London trio SYKES make alternative electro-pop championed by Indie Shuffle, NME, Q Magazine and have been playlisted on national UK radio BBC Radio 1. Their blend of nostalgic synth lines and soaring melodies saw them performed at notable London venues including KOKO Club NME; touring supporting includes Kodaline, Charli XCX, Bleachers, Annie Mac, Against The Current and festival gigs at Glastonbury, Bestival, Isle of Wight, T In The Park and the 42 date USA Vans Warped Tour.

Showcasing at New York’s 2015 CMJ Music Marathon and with a prestigious BBC Introducing ‘Class of 2015’ award under their belts, 2016 saw Londoners Sykes, propel “Synth-pop bangers that’ll continue to reverberate in your ears” (Q Magazine) into both sides of the Atlantic.

Grabbing Lab Records’ attention at SXSW 2016 brought SYKES’ first indie-label release, 5 track EP ‘Younger Mind’. 42 nights on Summer 2016 USA Vans Warped Tour, earned Sykes “Top 15 Bands to see at Warped Tour 2016” (Aquarian Weekly). Their latest single Younger Mind was played on BBC Radio 1 and BBC London in the UK. US Airplay of the single includes peaking at 26 in FMQB SubModern Singles Chart and SYKES on 20 college radios.

Julia also performed at Reading & Leeds Festival 2016 fusing her “crisp, polished melodies” (Indietronica) with producer/DJ Draper’s renowned production in collaborative single ft SYKES called ‘Ready For Us’. Airplay includes BBC Radio 1; TV E4’s ‘Made in Chelsea’. Autumn saw Sykes supporting Emarosa’s UK tour and releasing ‘Younger Mind’ UK-wide.
