Emily White is the co founder of Dreamfuel, a crowdfunding portal for athletes and teams. White is a Division I scholarship athlete and the daughter and grandaughter of deeply respected coaches. Thus, she has been immersed in sport as well as traditional sports fundraising her entire life.
While running a management firm in the Entertainment industry, White managed some of the most successful artist and athlete crowdfunds in history. She has now combined this experience with her deep rooted love of tech into Dreamfuel.
White is a veteran of SXSW, attending since 2004 and speaking at the conference over 10 times. Through the years, White has worked with a slew of artists including Fox Stevenson, The Dresden Dolls, Zac Brown Band, Amanda Palmer, The Fiery Furnaces, The Secret Machines, Dinosaur Jr., Imogen Heap, The Autumn Defense, Urge Overkill, Brendan Benson of The Raconteurs, The Hush Sound, Eric Burdon, Margaret Cho, Springtime Carnivore, The Drive By Truckers, Family of the Year, Hockey, Angelique Kidjo, Taj Mahal, W. Following the 2012 Olympics, White began managing Olympic gold medalist and rock star of swimming, Anthony Ervin.
White’s name has graced the cover of Billboard with Dreamfuel additionally being profiled in Fast Company. She is a frequent guest blogger for Hypebot as well as MIDEM in Cannes, France where she is a regular speaker. In addition, White proudly serves on the boards of Future of Music, CASH Music and The David Lynch Foundation Live while additionally serving on The Grammys’ Education Committee and Pandora’s Artist Advisory Council.
