New distribution channels and specialized distributors have created new legal and business issues in distribution agreements. At the same time independent filmmakers are exploiting their works in specialized theatrical and traditional distribution windows. And they are taking on more responsibility for marketing their works. This session will explore customary distribution contract terms that require new approaches and "new" contract terms that are specialized to distribution agreements in the digital age.

Dan is the President and Chair of the Minnesota Film & TV Board, the film commission for the State of Minnesota.
