Is Austin a Vortex for Musicians? - How an Impassioned Community Gives Back
The challenges in creating and performing music, actually making a living, and staying healthy leave many musicians feeling beaten down, wondering if it is all worth it, and uncertain if they are making a real difference in the lives of others. In this panel you will hear from non-profits who offer career mentoring, financial grants and unique live music opportunities which honor the inspiration and spirituality of musicians. Other panelists will tell their story of how they are working collaboratively to bring affordable medical, mental health, dental, audiological and vision care to local musicians.
