Brain Computer Interfaces Meet Up
Saturday, March 12
12:30PM - 1:30PM
110 E 2nd St
The aim of this meetup is to get people talking about what future possibilities exist for Brain Computer Interfaces (BCI) - communication between the human mind and machine - and more importantly, how this concept could revolutionise our lives. In order to do this examples from films such as The Matrix, Total Recall, Avatar, Transcendence and Source Code will be examined and we shall discuss how these various examples could be used to better or even threaten our lives at home and work. We will also be discussing the current state of BCI, what research is being done and how far away we are from being one with machine.
