Sarah Urist Green is creator and curator of The Art Assignment, an educational video series produced by PBS Digital Studios that introduces you to alternative approaches to art-making and the most innovative minds in art today.Sarah meets artists across the U.S. and solicits assignments from them that serve as open calls for makers across the globe. Since its premiere in Feb. 2014, the series has grown to over 90,000 subscribers, has been watched more than 1.5 million tim, and has generated thousands of artworks in response.

Sarah is the former Curator of Contemporary Art at the Indianapolis Museum of Art, where she curated the exhibitions Graphite and Andy Warhol Enterprises, among others. While at IMA, she commissioned installations by Spencer Finch, William Lamson, Ball-Nogues Studio, and Kate Gilmore, and was instrumental in developing The Virginia B. Fairbanks Art & Nature Park: 100 Acres. Sarah holds a M.A. in modern art history from Columbia and a B.A. from Northwestern.
