High Definition Audio: FLAC or Fluke?
This panel will examine whether or not the latest trend to hit the streaming music industry, high resolution audio, is the beginning of a fundamental shift in listening behavior. CDs were a big improvement in audio quality over cassettes, but the shift to MP3s created a dip in quality that most listeners have accepted. With the advent of high fidelity streaming offerings, along with new hardware products, it’s never been easier for listeners to access high fidelity sound.
We'll examine challenges that HD audio as a category has to face including the limitations of speakers, headsets and the human ear. It will present data on customer satisfaction and genres that most appreciate it.
