Predicting War with Big Data
What if I told you in 100 years there would be no more war? For the first time in history, we have enough big data on human sentiment, movements, and behavior to meaningfully predict population-level events (i.e. war, genocide, revolution, and global atrocities). This is huge because if we can predict the direction that the world is moving, then we stand a chance at pushing it away from war and instead down a peace-filled path. We stand at the cusp of a revolution in the way that the political game is played and big data is the driver. In a century, the winners and losers of global conflict will be those who understand the chess match of how populations interact, so gear up.
