The Future Is Now: City Planning Using Social VR
Can VR be social – multiple people in the same virtual space? What if social VR could be harnessed to help groups of people understand something that does not yet exist? The City of Minneapolis saw potential to use VR in its planning review process with the University of Minnesota Virtual Reality Design Lab social VR. Decision-makers set 2D renderings aside, instead donning VR headsets and walking through a proposed development. Join us to explore the potential for VR-powered civic engagement.
