Creatives Meet Business / Business Meet Creatives

Ashland is the founder of Creatives Meet Business, a free event series that reshapes how creatives view themselves – not simply as artists, but as creative entrepreneurs and Business Meet Creatives, a creative brokerage firm that connects businesses and non-profits with the best matched production company or creative talent to create their video, production work or imagery needs.

She has produced several short films to date; including the festival hits Rat Pack Rat (Sundance 2014 - Special Jury Prize for Unique Vision, SXSW 2014), Slash (Fantastic Fest 2013, Maryland Film Festival 2013), and Easy (SXSW 2014). Ashland assistant edited the 2013 narrative feature film Bob Birdnow’s Remarkable Tale of Human Survival and the Transcendence of Self. Ashland is the Sponsor Relations Coordinator for the ATX Television Festival and worked at the Austin Film Society (AFS) for several years. With AFS, Ashland managed its membership program, secured corporate sponsorships, built and strengthened relationships with members of the community and created and managed the INDIEpendents, a committee for emerging leaders supporting the AFS Travel Grant and its artistic programs.

Ashland is on the Board of Directors for Cine Las Americas and the Austin Young Chamber of Commerce (AYC), is the board liaison to AYC’s arts-focused IMAGINE Committee, and is a graduate of the Leadership Austin program.
