Blending electronic elements and synthesizers with fuzzy guitars and haunting vocal melodies, NEW MYTHS create a sound that catches you and keeps you. A Brooklyn/NYC-based power trio with a new wave/rock sensibility, NEW MYTHS is the collaboration of Rosie Slater (drums/vocals), Marina Ross (bass/vocals) and Brit Boras (guitar/lead vocals).

The trio set out to write music that they loved, and started out by combining elements of bands that influenced them such as Blondie, Siouxsie and the Banshees, Nirvana, Garbage, Yeah Yeah Yeahs and Joy Divison. Since releasing their self-titled EP in 2012, their song “False Gold” was featured by Lou Reed on his XM radio station as well as in surf company REEF's spring ad campaign. In 2014, both The New York Times and The Gaurdian wrote up NEW MYTHS as top performers at CMJ Music Festival. Building a following with a powerful live show and a uniquely dark and dance-able sound, NEW MYTHS released their debut album "Give Me Noise" October 2014 via their own imprint Taming Ghosts.
