As a teenager, Dontae started selling dope and hustling in the streets to provide food for his family. Wanting to reconnect with his father, he moved back to St. Louis in 1996 and continued in the street life. Business had become lucrative, but it also led to potential incarceration for up to 25 years. In a jail cell, Dontae cried out to the Lord and was delivered from serving the time.
