London-based group The Compozers are, without doubt, the most electrifying instrumentalists to grace the music scene in recent years. Hailing from North London the band consists of drummer Stephen, bassist Nana ‘Poakes’, along with keyboardists, David and Charlie ‘Biggz’ and collectively they have been producing unforgettable waves both here in the UK and internationally with their distinctive sound.
Their ability to combine music of different genres without lead vocals, in addition to their unique live production performances is a rare skill which has rapidly created a buzz and made them the next big thing from the UK urban scene.
Not only do The Compozers have a strong following for their own performances but they are in high demand by some of the biggest artists in the music industry. As well as being the official live band for award winning artist Fuse ODG they have also been requested to perform with some of Africa's biggest artists including Wizkid, Davido, Olamide, etc. across the UK and Europe. Not long after touring they then supported Sarkodie on his sold out show in the renowned Apollo Theatre, New York. Though they are vastly popular in the Afrobeats scene their eclectic sound and diverse skills has attracted them musicians of all genres and have graced the stage with a number of well respected artists including Dappy, Shift K3Y, MOBO Award winning Krept & Konan and Lethal Bizzle, just to name a few.
The Compozers continue to be in heavy demand and have performed at major events across the UK including Glastonbury, Wireless, and V Festival and were invited as special performing guests to the Ghana Music Awards 2015 in Accra.
The Compozers have successfully held three headline shows titled "A Night with the Compozers" and with the second headline show at The Gaumont Palace selling out at 2,000 capacity; it was only inevitable for history to repeat itself with their latest show at O2 Kentish Town Forum earlier this year.
With a number of local and international shows lined up, 2016 is set to be another fantastic year for the boys. With a bigger vision, a deeper thirst and wider knowledge of music The Compozers really will let the music do the talking.
