Old Hollywood vs Digital: The Friction Is Real!
The friction between the old Hollywood regime & modern digital influencer cohort is very real. On the one hand we have a community of executives used to owning & controlling content & its distribution, as well as dictating creative + paying small work-for-hire talent fees. On the other we have a community of new talent accustomed to owning & controlling their content & its distribution, as well as making their own creative decisions & making a TON of money in the process. This is all fine & good when the two groups work independently of one another, but as the demand for crossover increases by the day, the friction is gaining momentum at unprecedented speeds!
