Thejo Kote is the co-founder and CEO of Automatic, the platform connecting every car on the road to a world of apps that transform the car ownership experience. He was inspired to create Automatic in late 2011 while researching consumer transportation choices as part of his studies at the UC Berkeley School of Information Masters program. During this research, Thejo realized that while cars happen to be the most expensive computers we own, most were not connected to the internet. In addition to running Automatic, Thejo provides to the community through his work with NextDrop, a Knight News Challenge-winning social enterprise of which Thejo is a co-founder and advisor. NextDrop provides residents in urban India with access to accurate, timely information on the availability of intermittent piped water on the surrounding neighborhoods. Thejo holds a Master's degree from the School of Information at the University of California, Berkeley.
