Byte Me! Effective Use of Data in the Music Biz
Berklee College’s recent report on transparency and fairness in the music industry highlighted many issues in today’s business. Despite retail & tech platforms building more tools than ever - even sometimes going around labels to make their tools available to the public - and artists releasing their own music - thereby giving them access to the plethora of data available - there is still a general misunderstanding and worse, misinformation, around how to harness this intelligence. This panel will discuss best practices, potential pitfalls and the world of opportunity around data so that music creatives may benefit from clarity as well as transparency, and be more empowered than ever before.
