David Koelle believes in the world-changing potential of well-engineered software and empowered, connected people. As a mentor, David helps engineers think about how have an impact in their workplace and grow in their careers. He has had extensive experience in delivering convincing software presentations that gain the favor of hesitant decision-makers, hiring excellent colleagues and growing effective teams, adopting Agile practices in traditionally non-Agile environments, and crafting the engineering environment within a small business. He is an engineering lead at an innovative company that works on VR/AR, machine learning, autonomous robots, and other areas of applied research. As a side project, David is the author of JFugue, a popular open source music programming API for Java and other JVM languages. David is involved in the Boston software community as a Meetup leader. He is particularly interested in advancing human potential and empowerment, connecting people together, and encouraging amazing people to work together outside of the confines of their day jobs to create things that can positively affect society, progress, joy, and happiness.
