Nick has nearly two decades of experience building and running security programs and services. At Rapid7 he leads a team that advises customers on how to mitigate and respond to threats using data-driven analysis that empowers more relevant, timely, and impactful decisions. He has presented to audiences all over the world, TEDx Naperville, DEF CON, Black Hat and a keynote at RSA. Prior to Rapid7, he spent 10 years as the Senior Vice President of Trustwave's SpiderLabs. Additional career highlights include leading the Trustwave Incident Response team to deliver more than 500 investigations globally each year, as well as authoring what later became known as the Payment Application Data Security Standard (PA-DSS), which is now the industry gold standard. Outside of the business world, he is the co-creator of the I Am The Cavalry movement and creator of THOTCON, a Chicago-based hacking conference.
