The Obama Administration has done more to address climate change than any previous administration.
With 10 months remaining, the Paris climate agreement about to be signed, and Supreme Court battles waging, now is the time to do even more. This workshop provides an opportunity for creative minds to brainstorm ways to maximize President Obama’s remaining time in office and develop strategies to get as much done as possible. The workshop will be opened by White House Council on Environmental Quality Director Christy Goldfuss who will give insight into the Administration’s climate progress over the past 7 years, and open the door to the agenda for the next 10 months. Then, attendees will break out into three groups to brainstorm the following issue areas:
-Leveraging the National Parks 100th Anniversary
-Making the Paris Climate Agreement a Reality
-Increasing Diversity In the Climate Movement

In each breakout workshop, participants will discuss their particular issue area, bouncing ideas off one another and creating a series of recommendations that will be taken back to the White House to strengthen plans for the final 10 months.
