Provo, Utah is an isolated mountain town that’s easy to pass on the search for thriving music scenes, but it has cultivated several chart topping artists including Neon Trees, Imagine Dragons, and The Used. Local synthpop duo Coral Bones is motivated by their hometown’s crop of music superstars, and the indication that it's possible to make a music career from their inconspicuous hometown. Since late 2014 they’ve shared the stage with the likes of JMSN, Tei Shi, and Moth & the Flame, and have written with multi-platinum Simon Perry (Echo & the Bunnymen, Bonnie Mckee). Their new EP Platonia, a collection of rambunctious pop tunes tinged with melancholy, debuted in 2015 via Pop Matters, and their single "Third Degree" debuted via The Wild magazine.
