When used well, humor has unparalleled potential to challenge assumptions, reframe issues, undergird strong, memorable narratives, and evoke strong emojis– sorry, emotions. In this interactive salon-style workshop, Strategists and social movement builders (and ex-comedians) from Purpose – along with a few Very Special Guests – will discuss how best to use humor in content with a social purpose and showcase strategies for creating funnier and more effective content. Following the panel, breakout groups will try their hands at crafting funny stuff about unfunny stuff. Then it'll be happy hour. Not so bad. (WARNING: This session will not make you funny—though it might make you laugh.
