The Barberettes Volume.1
When The Barberettes perform, you will see three vocalists balancing their own voices through one microphone as they once did back in the 1950's. A similar set up was commonly used in studios and concerts at the time. It was imperfect, yet sounded warm and rich, The Barberettes wanted to bring that sound back with their debut album [The Barberettes Volume.1]. They used an analog tape machine to create warmth that tends to lack in today's digitally recorded sound. This really lends itself to the musical feeling of that era.
