Rainer Millar-Blanchaer and Jeff ‘Grimm’ Crake are no strangers to hit records. Having grown up in Toronto, Canada and it’s surrounding boroughs, the two found themselves in the burgeoning, but separate arenas of R&B and Drum & Bass, and electronic music. After being in bands and recording albums since 16, Rainer, a budding songwriter/musician, got his break one evening at a mutual friends house, which brought a young Abel Tesfae, better known as The Weeknd and himself together. The two wrote what would be The Weeknd’s breakout hit – Wicked Games in Rainer's home studio. This dynamic collaboration lead to further writing credits with The Weeknd and a young Drake on his album Take Care, solidifying Rainer’s forward thinking production.

Having multiple collaborations and official releases on labels like MTV/Extreme Music, Hospital Records, Spearhead, and Renegade Hardware lead to him joining forces with Hybrid Minds. Jeff climbed the ranks of the electronic world as a producer and singer/songwriter. He then began working at Toronto’s heralded Metalworks Studio, which lead to an official Grammy nod for his backend work, assistant engineering on Drake’s Nothing Was The Same album, and the opportunity to work with some of the worlds top artists, producers and engineers.
Together, their contemporary positioning evolved, coinciding with electronic based, dance production. Integrity behind the groove, the beat and the bounce is what initially brought Rainer + Grimm together and it is making them one of the fastest growing names in dance music. Covered by all major edm based medias, frequently topping Hypem.com’s popular charts and millions of plays across the board are simple indicators that Rainer + Grimm belong in music.
