[About Crayon Pop]
Crayon Pop is a five-member South Korean girl group (Geummi, Ellin, Choa, Way, Soyul) and officially debuted with their first album ‘The 1st Mini Album’ on July 2012. Their group concept was very unique and totally different to other girl groups’.
They became popular after releasing the hit song, ‘Bar Bar Bar’. It climbed the Korean digital music charts and also stayed at the top of Billboard’s K-POP Hot 100 chart for more than a month. Official ‘Bar Bar Bar’ MV reached more than 24 million views on YouTube (01.JAN.2015).
As ‘Bar Bar Bar’ got popular, many press media started to focus on its success. America Broadcast station ABC 'Good Morning America' introduced Crayon Pop as 'Strong Next K-POP Rookies' and Billboard praised them highly with the article ‘Crayon Pop 'Bar Bar Bar': K-Pop's Viral Hit for 2013’. They are active to perform with international artists. On 22 November 2014, Crayon Pop collaborated with Norwegian duo Ylvis, to perform a special stage at the Mnet Asian Music Awards and has been opening Lady Gaga’s ‘ArtRave: The Artpop Ball’ world tour from June to July 2014. They will active to perform in Korea and Abroad this year.
