Fashion folk and tech developer worlds wouldn’t have been the most obvious bedfellows a few years ago, but as the fashion and tech industries become even closer aligned so do these partnerships. In 2013, the world’s first fashion hackathon hit the catwalk at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week- with the fashion industry wide mouthed and the tech industry feeling a little uneasy.
Whilst hackathons have continued to evolve as a medium to accelerate innovation within fashion, others have chosen to invest in the future of retail through in-house labs and incubators. John Lewis, Nordstrom, and Zappos are some that are exploring the possibilities of developing tech under their own roofs- allowing them to experiment, innovate, and rethink the retail landscape.
Panelists will explore how businesses can utilize entrepreneurial thinking to excite and develop. Learn about the startups created in the hacks, and based at the incubators, who have the potential to change the future of the industry. Presented by Decoded Fashion.
