Our session intertwines a personal story and facts around company culture, and why workers in today’s generation want to be inspired each day. Why did prior generations have such different career aspirations from today’s generation? Our parents’ and grandparents’ generations are part of a cohort of 78 million baby boomers. The families of baby boomers lived through The Great Depression and World-War II. In the wake of bread lines and world wars, careers with long-term stability and fair income were emphasized as high priority. But today, baby boomers are starting to retire. In contrast 80 million millennials have grown up during a time of economic growth, technological advancement, and prosperity. As a result, millennials place great significance on the qualitative elements of their career, such as a positive company culture. The most successful companies today are succeeding in part due to their focus on company culture. Our interactive session will have fun presenting this topic.
