The biggest problem facing American politics is the one that no one is focusing on. In every single institution in our world we have aggressive systems to identify, recruit, and train talent, and we understand that nothing works without investing in good people and giving them the support they need to succeed. The only place we don’t have this approach is in American politics, if we ever want to fix American politics, we have to start here. In 2016,Run for America will recruit, train, and run a group of 12 high talent, next generation leaders who come from backgrounds as entrepreneurs, innovators, educators, and social entrepreneurs for Congress in a totally new kind of campaign. In this session, we'll look at this central challenges in reforming American politics, how tackling them is easier than many think, discuss the entrepreneurial approach RFA is taking to do this, and the importance of entrepreneurs and technologists engaging in the effort to build a 21st century government.
