The State of Surveillance
Bill will expose the current scope of mass surveillance and its blatant inefficiency, revealing the profit-led motivations that underpin it and the chilling effects of its gaze. In light of the Paris attacks and the Marathon Bombing trials, he will reveal why our agencies are consistently failing us despite the vast amounts of technology, contractors and data at their disposal. Bill will explore the increased risk to our privacy presented by the new intelligence facilities planned for Fort Meade, dwarfing Bluffdale, and home to a 7000+ strong workforce. He will further delve into the NSA's desire to map the entire Internet.
Bill will complete his presentation with a short teaser regarding a programme that could have been, and could still be, the solution to ensuring both our security and our liberty.
