Deena Varshavskaya, Founder & CEO of Wanelo, is not a dude-in-a-sweatshirt. Instead, she’s a Siberian-born dropout who wears Ryan Gosling leggings and closed her first funding as a solo female founder after 40 rejections.

She started Wanelo after being frustrated with the traditional shopping experience. Using her personal savings, she worked on it for more than two years before launching in 2012.

Wanelo is a digital mall curated by millions of people to find and buy amazing products from over 350K stores around the world, and it has gained the retail industry’s attention for its high traffic and conversion rates.

Deena has been named twice by Goldman Sachs to its “100 Most Intriguing Entrepreneurs” list and recognized as an innovator by Fast Company, Forbes, Glamour, and Vanity Fair.
