As the first museum-led incubator, NEW INC is supporting a different kind of “start-up" and taking a slightly different approach to how we think of the incubator model and entrepreneurship more broadly, especially in the creative industries. We’re situated at the bleeding-edge of culture and technology and bring together a vibrant mix of artists and designers building their independent careers, multi-disciplinary creative studios who are developing groundbreaking work for both clients and cultural commissioners, and product-oriented start-ups that are focused on building everything from the world’s largest dream database to a wearable tech storytelling platform for children.

At SXSW, we will present NEW INC’s mission and vision, as well as it’s approach to building an incubator geared towards artist and designer-led businesses, whose goals, aspirations and values are often quite different from those we find at the YCombinators and TechStars of the world.
