How Technology Created America’s Tweethearts
Some people fall in love at first sight. For us, it was at first tweet. As dating coaches, it’s not what either of us expected. I found my husband @ThomasHEdwards, by searching #dating and caught his attention with a retweet and a few DMs. Five years later, we wed, 4,000 paper Twitter birds flying over head.
Naturally, technology’s role in our relationship didn’t end after 140 characters. Tech is the third-party in our #happilyeveredwards love story. While others are using technology to end relationships – joining Ashley Madison to cheat on their wife or dumping someone with the flick of a Facebook status – we’re using it to create eRomance. As dating coaches, we believe that you shouldn’t fear technology’s role in your dating life or relationships but embrace it. In this session, we'll detail how technology has changed the way we view dating and relationships ... and what that means for the future of marriage.
