Innovation and startups have been synonymous with Silicon Valley for years, but innovation economies are cropping up all around the country and deserve to be recognized. In fact, with its rising real estate prices and costly barrier to entry, entrepreneurs are consciously moving away from Silicon Valley in favor of locations that encourage new business and support free-thinking innovation. In the solo presentation, "Innovation Everywhere: Building Up Startup Cities," Chase Garbarino, co-founder and CEO of Streetwise Media, will explore the startup incubators and entrepreneurial-friendly cities thriving around the country – from Boston, to Austin, to LA and more. Chase will explore what an innovation economy actually is, how cities can encourage their growth, the top emerging innovation economies, and why "innovation everywhere" is a necessary mentality if the U.S. is going to be a leader in innovation for years to come.
