Running A Non-Profit Like A Start-Up!
Like for-profit organizations, nonprofits face issues of sustainability and growth. This panel will examine what can be learned and gained by nonprofits functioning like a for-profit company. And more specifically, how operating like a startup can help nonprofits overcome challenges encountered at inception and during their day-to-day operations. The panel will bring together a group of successful social entrepreneurs who have graduated from the accelerator, Y Combinator, for al discussion about starting and scaling a nonprofit guided by practices until recently associated with startups. Participants will hear about the pros and cons of adopting such practices and how doing this can foster innovation and help nonprofits reach their goals.
