Friend or Foe? How Government Impacts Startups
Sometimes it feels like all Congress is working against innovation. The regulatory burden is too high, the system is too complex, the players are too entrenched, Washington is too slow. We're here to tell you, despite the obstacles, Congress does want to help startups and innovators. This session with feature three people who have seen all of the pitfalls of government and learned valuable lessons, including including Congressman Will Hurd who served as an undercover CIA officer before advising cybersecurity firms in the private sector. Currently, Congressman Hurd serves as the Chairman of the Oversight and Government Reform Subcommittee on Information Technology which has jurisdiction over a number of tech issues.
