Why would the sports that created such household names like Venus and Serena Williams, John McEnroe, Michael Phelps, Missy Franklin, Tiger Woods and Stacy Lewis reinvent themselves at the grassroots? The rich history and tradition that serves these sports also makes it more difficult to innovate and adapt to changing consumer expectations, especially among millennials. Youth inactivity is at its highest level, new sports are emerging daily and electronic devices are challenging for kids' attention. Three sport innovators discuss reinventing youth sports, getting kids active and embracing technology as part of the solution.
