SXSW Community Screening: Rainforest Partnership's Films for the Forest
Synopsis
Films for the Forest (F3) is an annual international short film challenge created by Rainforest Partnership, with a goal to create awareness about the importance of tropical rainforests and threats faced by forests and their communities.
Judged by a panel that includes Richard Linklater, Eloise DeJoria, Taylor Ellison, and Kenny Laubbacher films chosen as F3 Official Selections are screened as part of the SXSW Film Festival Community Screenings. Films entered into the Short Shorts category are eligible for the JP’s Peace, Love & Happiness $1,000 award.
Rainforest Partnership is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization focused on protecting tropical rainforests by partnering with people at global and local levels to create lasting solutions to deforestation.
