Cinema Culture: The Power of Communal Experience

I have often heard cinema curators lament about the difficulty of attracting millennials. Blame has been placed on the online accessibility of most movies to the general disinterest in seeing all but a handful of blockbusters on the big screen. These are certainly valid points, but miss the heart of the issue. Cinema culture doesn't exist with those under 30. It's up to us to make the case (as film lovers and educators) for the power of seeing films communally.
