*Born in Chicago, Reginald Gilliland moved to Houston, Texas as a teenager and became Point Blank (The Bull). It was there in his South Park neighborhood that he honed his lyrical skills. In 1990 he became a member of the legendary SPC (South Park Coalition) along with founding member K-Rino.
*Point Blank has always displayed a knack for being at the right place at the right time. In 1992 he signed with fledgling independent record label Bigtyme Recordz and became label-mates with an unknown new group UGK. Blank was among the first to partner with Bun B and Pimp C and the duo appeared on his debut release.
*Point Blank was featured prominently in the first two nationally distributed classic releases from DJ Screw “All Screwed Up” and “3 N’ The Mornin’. Both releases we’re remixed compilations of Bigtyme Recordz releases.
*In 1998 as fellow Screwed Up Click member Lil’ Keke was riding high from his release of the now classic “Southside” Point Blank appeared with Keke on DJ Screw’s mix of “I Wanna Get High w/Da Blanksta,” quickly becoming the biggest selling single of DJ Screw’s career. That was followed-up by the track “My Mind Went Blank” featured on Master P’s multiplatinum release “Down South Hustlers”.
