Felipe el Hombre are an independent rock band formed in 2012 in the city of Chihuahua, Mexico and consisting of band members Mario Murillo (vocals & guitar), Alejandro Flores (guitar) and Daniel Pliego (drums).
The bands sound is a very raw and organic taking cues from old school rock. Over time the band began to develop and starting playing at various points in DF at bars, small venues and a few presentations in the cities metro, growing the fan base each time.
In 2013, the band released their first EP featuring five songs that draws on themes and the experiences of a man named Felipe, a traveler in the desert in search of his destiny - a character inspired by a novel by Garcia Marquez.
'Despertar' is the first single and title track of the EP, and was accompanied by a video which retained the same visual themes and techniques of their earlier work; combining different analog formats and generating vintage images.

In 2013, the band embarked on a tour of the largest part of the Republic of Mexico, alternating with large national bands and also saw the release of single 'Mareo', the first single from their second EP which they launched at Festival Marvin in México City, at the end of 2014, the band released this material which generated #1 sales via digital stores in it's first month of release.
