Serona Elton, Esq. is currently an associate professor, Chair of the Music Media & Industry Department, and Director of the Music Business & Entertainment Industries Program at the University of Miami Frost School of Music. She also serves as VP, Business Relationship Management at Warner Music Group, the President of the Music and Entertainment Industry Educators Association (MEIEA) and a Governor of the Recording Academy, Florida Chapter. Previously, she has consulted for several major music companies such as Sony Music Entertainment and Universal Music Group, and held the position of VP, Mechanical Licensing and Repertoire Data Services for EMI Recorded Music, North America. Her areas of expertise include contract summarization and management, rights management, royalties, mechanical licensing, record company operations and music industry information management.

Ben O’Hara has taught music business at a number of institutions across Australia, including the Sydney Institute, The University of Tasmania, EORA College, and JMC Academy. He is currently the Head of Higher Education (Music Business) at Box Hill Institute in Melbourne. Ben has a broad range of experience in the music industry, having worked in music publishing and licensing as well as event and artist management. He has also been a performer for over 15 years, and runs his own booking agency. Ben runs thebiz.com.au, an online music business resource center, and has published six textbooks on the music industry. Ben holds a Bachelor Arts in contemporary music (with honors) from Southern Cross University and a Masters of Business in Arts and Cultural Management from The University of South Australia. Ben is currently completing a PhD program at Monash University.
