How Cool Gadgets Can Save The World
Imagine at the doctor’s office, you use an app that securely transmits your health data to the doctor, instead of a paper form. He then uses Google Glass to bring up your records and streamline your visit. Currently, many health care providers already use mobile devices to streamline the delivery of their health care services. But existing strategies and solutions are rather limiting and are often in a silo. The data that can be used to create better user experience and lower costs isn’t being utilized across technologies in in-patient and out-patient settings.
This session will discuss how health providers can improve health care delivery and patient outcomes, as well as reduce costs, through a combination of emerging technologies, personalization and electronic health record systems. Using new technologies, such as Google Glass, iBeacon, NFC and Kinect, we can learn more about patients, communicate better in an outpatient environment and provide better health care services.
