Jonathan Marino directs content and strategy at MapStory, an atlas of change that everyone can edit. Under his leadership MapStory has grown from a nascent idea to a stable global data commons that has empowered people across six continents to share open data and tell map-based stories about the way our world changes over time. Previous to MapStory he managed service-learning programs for the Chicago Public Schools, coordinated the Innovation Lab inside the Council of Chief State School Officers, and co-founded the Center for Global Engagement at Northwestern University. Marino has degrees in education and political science from Northwestern University and a master’s degree in philosophy from the National University of Ireland, Galway. In 2008 he was a U.S. Fulbright Scholar to Uganda.

Nicholas Kerelchuk is the manager of the Digital Commons in the DC Public Library, a creative and collaborative playground serving a vibrant community of all ages. Part digital creation space, part fabrication lab, and part co-working space, the Digital Commons provides hands-on access and education to emerging technologies, tools, and software. As manager he is responsible for creating and developing forward thinking technology driven programs and services to the public; such as 3D Printing, 3D Scanning, and programming languages. Nicholas has been working in the library profession for over ten years and holds an MLS from the University at Buffalo.
