As an IDEO partner, Michael Hendrix leads the Boston studio and guides the firm’s East Coast-based Design Directors. A musician and designer, he has brought an unorthodox sensibility to bear, inspiring creative talent and working with them to build design programs and organizations.

Recognition of these skills has resulted in upwards of 50 awards from major U.S. design associations and publications, with inclusion in the permanent collections of the Cooper-Hewitt, National Design Museum and the Denver Art Museum.

While design pays the bills, he also writes music. His latest album, "Urban Turks Country Jerks" was released in April 2014 by Dallas, Texas shoegaze label, Moon Sounds Records.
