People do a poor job of making the right career decisions for themselves. All the personal baggage and false self-perceptions about our strengths and weaknesses make us notoriously bad predictors of what kind of career moves are best for us. So, what if we were to hand the heavy decision-making over to someone else? Better yet, what if we were to let a machine make our career decisions for us?

Shankar Mishra, VP of Data Science and Analytics at TheLadders, will discuss what makes strangers and machines better harbingers of good career decision-making. Using science and statistics, he will share how a few simple details and responses can lead even strangers to be more knowledgeable about the kind of job you would be successful at, and how we can take this approach ourselves when making career decisions in the future.
